Wire Sawing
Do you have thick or reinforced slabs of concrete to remove? A wire saw is the ideal choice of equipment for this type of job.
Diamond wire saws open up new applications:
- Nearly unlimited wall thickness
- Highest flexibility with the positioning of the machine
- Ideal with limited amount of space
The process of removing thick concrete, reinforced concrete, rock or stone with a wire saw for projects such as renovations and redevelopments and dismantling heavy concrete structures is not as common as other types of concrete sawing.
The technique involves using a “diamond grit beaded” cable inserted through a core hole or around the perimeter of a structure and with hydraulic or electric power rotating the wire saw. Diamond wire can easily cut through concrete and other composites without snagging or smearing the various layers onto one another or even the voids between layers. Cuts can be made flush to floors, walls and ceiling and even under water such as bridge piers. Remote cutting can be performed in hazardous areas, or where direct access to the cut is impractical.
